We Need a True Democracy
My primary reason for running for Mayor is that no one stepped up to run against the incumbent and that is never good for the City, the voters, or the citizens! Considering how many seasoned city councilors and school committee members Methuen has, I find the lack of mayoral candidates to be systemic of Methuen’s challenges. It is through the election process that a community may ask questions reflecting voter sentiments of the candidates. The candidates, in turn, raise the issues directly to the incumbents. When we Vote, we WIN!
A Quality Education for Every Student
Running for Mayor is my ‘Love Letter” to the city that gave me a world class education. This class picture is my first grade in 1963, from the Ashford Street School. It is because of this education from grades 1-12, where my dreams began, combined with my thirty-five years of success in sales and marketing, and my newly acquired Masters in Public Affairs and Administration, that I seek your vote. I believe that every child deserves to have the best education their community has to offer. And along with that education a clean, safe, prosperous community in which to grow. Children and their families are the key to Methuen's Future. When we register to vote, we register to WIN!
True Growth
It has been my experience that real growth can only occur when the fundamentals of business or government are executed to perfection. That includes a full partnership of trust, planning, and perseverance with both internal and external resources. Without an opponent in the mayoral race the voters will have very little voice in this election. In addition, Methuen's voter turnout no longer represents the demographics of this growing city. In order to resolve issues and challenges to their completion, we must pay attention to our demographics, our Charter, and our City Budget. In this manner, we may assist our citizens with a sense of urgency and clarity. Together we WIN!
A candidate with moxie...
I believe in an open door policy, that everyone matters, and all are welcome. I also believe that hard work is gratifying and fun, completing projects on time and on budget are necessary, and working collaboratively is the best road to success. Like a good gardener, a good leader must learn to accentuate the positives and eliminate the negatives. What should remain is something beautiful, meaningful, and long lasting. My vision is a new vision for Methuen. Together we can all WIN!
